Who We Are
Oak House Distillery was founded in 2020 by UGA scientists with a passion for crafting artisanal spirits. It has the distinction of being the first legal distillery in Athens since the 1860s. The distillery produces award-winning botanical gins and Jamaican-style rums, with organic vodka being our latest release. Located in the old Henry Bishop home built in 1864, Oak House Distillery is a unique Georgia destination. The warm and inviting atmosphere of the lounge and bar, complete with two acres of outdoor space under ancient oak trees, creates a relaxed setting for socializing after a long work day, relaxing on the weekend, or hosting your next event.
